Install 04 Trailblazer

This install if for an 04" Chevy Trailblazer EXT 7pass..

(ignore the size different I kinda made things smaller and smaller as time when on :P so my capacitor is bigger then my amp in the pic :P)

So its starts off at the battery with a 2ga wire to the capacitor, then to the distribution block where it splits into 3x4ga power wires. (gray blocks are just metal parts on the vehicle) the ground are all 4ga.

Now for all the questions:

I have two Alpine SWR1222D's powered by two Alpine MRPM1000 Amps, What kind of enclosure should I use... and what size? also would having them in to separate enclosures make any difference? and if so a good or bad one? (I'm assuming it's a bad difference).

Also I've heard people talk about "bass extenders" what is it? what does it do and is it a good idea?

Also do woofer needs some filter to stop frequency under 10 hertz and boost frequency around 50 - 60 hertz to compensate for the vented box design?

I've also been told I should use a high pass filter to cut everything over around 120 hertz.

Also I was told to add filters (cross overs) to the system I was just wondering where in the system would I add them. they also told me to cross over my two mono amps.

And last but not least I've heard you can make a volume control and wire it to the RCA cables? is this true, does it work well? and does it cause any quality loss from cutting the RCA cables?

Thanks,

Redfire.
