Install Help - Multi amp questions

Im new to the forum, but not new to car audio. Have had a few systems but all fo them have been budget. Now i need MORE BASS! I tried searching for most of my questions and i think answered mosat of them myself. I just wanted expert opionion. So ive picked up most of the parts for my new system. I am having pre-installation questions. Im just trying to figure out how everything is going to be wired. This will be my first mutil-amp system.

How do i wire the multiple RCA's to my deck? what goes where? I have fader, non fader front and rear on my eclipse. From the 4 channel i use one set to the front one set to the rear, and from my mono amp one set to the non fader? im confused.
Also, when wiring two amps do i run two power cables from the battery and 2 ground wires like a single amp? Or should i run one power and use a ditribution block to split the power to the two amps? Is there an advantage over one or another? i Have a top post battery terminal with 0g, 4g, and 2 8g already.
What amp fuse do i use? I took the 40ax3 from my MD2 and the 30ax2 from the MD42 from the manual and add them together to acheive 180a is this correct? i have a 250a anl fuse now, i guess its too large and could cause damage?
Im also going to do the big 3 before final installation.

Wiring i have;
20 feet 0g
3 feet 0g ground
0g ring terminals
0g/4g/8g battery terminal
0g inline anl fuse holder
250amp anl fuse

What else would i need?

system is comprised of;
us amps md2 mono
us amps md42 4 channel
audiobahn 3f cap
infinity 5010cs components
6.5" SPC652 nagamichi's for rear
Eclipse 5423 head unit
XM satelite radio

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Kyle.

Yah 2 amps = 2 grounds

Distribution block people say is a good choice.. yet I don't use 1.. I just have 2 runs of power wire going right off the battery to each amp.. no problems at all yet. But I only have about 300 Watts rms comin from my both my amps combined.. i'd say anything over 500 could warrant a distribution block with a 2-4 gauge running to it and 4-8 off it to the amps.. depending on what ur running.. but hey.. i'm sure someone else will have more info that will put me in my place

I would go the Distro block option 100%... having 2 runs of power wire in your car, 1 for each amp will not be detremental to your system or car in any way, but it's that much more wire, which would probably cost you more than a quality distro block, and that way when it comes time to expand, the options are there, instead of possibly having to add a 3rd power wire and ground to the system, for another amp possibly...

by adding up all the fuses it does give you a safe ballpark idea, but above and beond that the inline fuse off your battery on the power wire has nothing to do with what it's connected to... thats what the fuses on the amps are for. The Fuse on the power wire is there to protect the wire, not the equipment directly, so I would run a fuse that is rated for the maximum safe current draw for your installed wire AWG...

Will wiring with 0awg wire to distro then to both amps have any performance decrease as compared to running two separate power wires? And when grounding the two amps do i run both ground to the same point or separate. I would think same point other wise you would get a ground loop no?

I am using db link 0awg power cable for my big 3 and power cable/grounds. Where could i find the rating for the maximum current draw?

Lastly the only other trouble i cant comprehend is how to run the RCA's. My 4 channel amp would goto front and rear preout on my HU correct? and my mono amp to the non fader? do i need to link the two amps together? Im just still a little confused.

Kyle.

it all depends on how much power you will be running... but if you're under 3000W you shouldn't see any decrease...

for 0 Awg, a safe bet would be a 250 AMP fuse...

No there is no need to link your amp running the componets, to the amp driving the Sub(s)

bah, 2 power cables is a waste of time, use a distro block man. I had 2 amps 1 2ch Pionner 720w RMS and 1 4ch Clarion 400w RMS and I was running a 4ga wire to the boot, and distributor block to each amps, pionner was still running 4ga, but clarion 8ga and never missed a beat.

You could always use these T-blocks that Stinger makes. I have used them before and they work quite well. No fusing though...
this one has 3 0 AWG openings, so you could have the 0 AWG going in, and a 0 and 4 AWG output on either side...
