At the time, no I didn't. Although I should have built the box myself it impressed everyone. Why does the new guy have to start out with shitty speakers?

it's ok, it happens all the time.

at one of the shows this summer there was this guy with one of those custom Steve Meade $5,000 sub, with a box which probably cost more from a shop than the sub itself.

To original poster. I am the owner of the shop, I really wish you would have come back instead of posting this on a forum, if the damage was caused by poor installation I would have gladly fixed it, yes the door handle clip came undone and was fixed before you left the parking lot and yes somehow the rca cables were mixed up behind the deck, was this our fault or something that was messed with after? Dont know but i fixed it right away.

And as far as the speaker hole being a octagon if you ever see a factory honda door in a 2002 SIR they are almost a rectangle shape ( look it up ) and your speakers were way to big to fit in that door with a ring spacer which we tryed (and even brought you to the back to show you the rings). Like I said if the damage was our fault you should have come back in and we would have fixed it, now what can I do to make this right?

... and there's also one in Mississauga.

Around 2007 the one in Hamilton was called Gold Star. I took a 1600W 89lbs woofer to them and asked if they could build a box, they couldn't. Someone suggested I buy 2 400ish W Clarion 10's in a pre-fab for $600 instead, it was laughable, they've never seen a sub as big as my 12". The shop up the street on the other side of the road, Hi-Fi, I would go there before Gold Star. They made this: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/211221...illac-escalade. The guy who worked on the Escalade isn't there anymore. Instead of bad mouthing the shops here, call them and tell them they need an experienced installer.

Your best bet is EHR. They have like 10 installers not 1 or 2.
Soundwaves was never called Gold Star or any other name for that matter, Soundwaves has been around since 2003 under the same name.

Wow at least the installer comes online and try's to make it right. That's true respect right there. And for the comment " there are no bad installs only cry babies" I sure hope that was a joke.
