install problem

ok so i just picked up a new metrik single din dvd headunit model # LDM-615 and i'm not getting any sound from the unit to the speakers
every wire is matched properly colour to colour
now i'm left over with a brown wire... the book says it's for a reverse cam
does it need to be hooked up?
any suggestions?
yes i've connected, pulled apart and reconnected every wire twice now
my last thought is the unit might be defective i dunno.
any thoughts would be great
thanks

there should be an option on your deck if there is, trying using the RCAs if you have an extra amp lying around, see if it works that way. Or if you think it is defective, try it in a friends car that has a similar deck.

we got it working, turns out it was the solid orange wire cutting off sound to the speakers. but on the wiring diagram it says orange is the amp control but it works without it being hooked up...

thanks for the help

well we originally had it hooked up to the orange and white wire and we werent getting any sound, so we unhooked all wires and used trial and error to figure it out. the only sucky part about the deck is that it doesnt have sub control so i guess i'll have to find somewhere to buy one...
