install questions..
I have a few questions, shoiuldn't be hard, Im installing a new deck (last one was aftermarket), and amps. Unfortunately for now I am using the stock front speakers and running them (and rears) off an amp. The rear speakers are brand new.
So on the deck should I unhook the wire from the harness for the front and rear speakers and let the preouts do all the work, or do I have to leave those wires connected for the fade and all that to work? and if so does that mean I wire the wires from the deck to the speakers as well as the wires from the amp?
Also when I do the preouts, I have 4 preouts on the back of my deck, Since two of my amps are running subs, and the third is running mids, how do i know which preout goes to which amp? Is there something that needs to be set or does it all just figure it out on its own?
Thanks alot

How many amps are you using! If you're using three amps your preout connections should go like this: Front preout - front speakers, Rear preout - rear speakers, Subs - sub preout. Since you are using amps you don't need to hook the speaker leads up between the deck and the factory harness.
Ok, How do I tell which preout is which? The HU is a Clarion DXZ765MP, the preouts come out in a set of 3, then 1 is on its own. The colour on the wires are pink, grey, black and purple, the one on its own is purple. I've had this exact set up proffesionally installed before, but it cost $800 so i'm doin it my self this time...I noticed the caps are still on the end of the pink wire, so thats the one they didn't use...I have 3 amps (2 for a sub each and 1 for mids) so how do I know what preout goes to which.
Also the rca's they used are set up with a splitter in them so that 1 preout leads to two sets or rca's...Im guessing these would be for the amp powering the mids so I can have fade and balance?

The violet/purple RCA connectsto the splitter is for both of your sub amps, the gray RCA's are for the front speakers and the black RCA's are for the rear speakers. Since you're only running on amp for your front and rear speakers just ues the gray rca's
