Installing an Optima yellow top, where ?

We'll as suggested in the last thread everyone suggested a deep cycle. So I was in toronto this weekend and was able to pick up a Optima Yellow Top D34 750CCA for 200 bux including tax, which I thought was a good price considering everyone locally in kitchener wanted more, and costco used to sell @ this price too.

My question to all is Do i Install it in the REAR or under the hood.

My system is RE 12.1 Amp 1200WRS @ 1 ohm, PG ZXti 400.2 100WRMS*2 @ 4 ohms. And 180 amp alt.

0 guage runnign from battery to back and BIG 3 is NOW completly done as in previous thread it wasn't 100% done. But now I got it done fully and still have dimming.

So what is your guys suggestions install in back near sub or front under hood?

How would I go about wiring it also? Also do I need to Run a anotehr 0 guage to the back for the battery too?

I would install the Yellow top in the rear near the amps. Run your single 0 gauge straight to the new battery and then go from there to your amps or your distribution block or however you have it setup. Normally you should have a yellow top under the hood to match or an isolator but I have never seen any issues with a different battery under the hood. Be sure to fuse the main 0 gauge under the hood and both amps. This way you have the re-enforcement of a two battery setup instead of just one.

So are you saying get another YELLOW top UNDER The hood to be SAFE? Also what is this isolator exactly and how much are they?

Battery under hood = a MotoMaster Eliminator 630CCA.

Or second option is to insatll the yellow top in the rear run + 0 guage from front of car staright to yellow top +. then a 0 guage to my distro then have that fused to amps which it currently is fused. Also the ground for the yellow top. Ground amps directly to yellow top and then have it grounded to a nice chassis ground too ( the battery)?
