jl to soundstream

Hey all, i'm wiring two jl w6's to s soundstream amp. Parallel they should run 1.5 ohms. My question is when wiring parrellel i'm suppose to go on each sub +-+ and - to - then they meet somewhere and it ends up just being one + and one -. Can have them meet at amp or will defeat the purpose of paralell?

Hey there, if your subs are dual 3 ohm voice coils a better way would be to series them at the sub.(connect a - to a + on the sub thus leaving you with a + and -) Take both pairs (one pair from each sub) and bridge at amp. This will give you a 3 ohm load at the amp. If you parallel at subs and bridge at amp you will end up with a 0.75 ohm load. Unless you have an old school soundstream amp, your amp will thermal and shut down. Hope this helps.
