Pioneer. No Power!!!!! Help!

Pioneer. No Power!!!!! Help!
I have purchased a Pioneer MVH-AV290BT for my 2004 Trailblazer and this is my problem, I have power going to the head unit and a good ground but nothing comes on, makes no sense to me! I would think if you connect power and a good ground, The unit should at least come on! Right?
I'm all out of ideas with this. Any help would be much appreciated
