Hi, new here. Just had a Kenwood JVC DDX9703 installed in my 2016 Sorento to replace the basic 4" screen radio/cd player. The USB and Aux inputs in the front console are now inactive. The installer said they could not because they would have to splice wires or I have to buy an extra kit. They didn't say what.
They also did not run the HDMI cable option.
They did run the new radio USB to my glove box which I think was kind of hokey. That's where the phone connection is for Android Auto.

Is it a major task to get the USB and Aux on the console front to work there? Not a fan of a USB female cable in the glove box. Just wondering if what they said was BS or they just didn't feel like it because getting to the USB Aux port unit is more work.
