I just installed a Kenwood KDC-MP332 and everything works fine but when the car is in run the deck turns off completely and wont turn back on but when it is in accessory mode it just keeps turning on and off does anybody have any ideas

I have a 98 Saturn SL1

 

On another forum seems like its the voltage dropping and the connection is bad for either the ground or the yellow wire so i will test them another day

Is your car running? If not your battery may be low if your have been playing without running it. Start it up and see if this helps.

 

it works fine when the engine is on but it resets when it is off and if i dont start the car it will not even power on in run mode, the engine was on before the vid was shot and the sound is directly from my digital camera, my other deck worked fine too before i pulled it and it was a pioneer avh-6400cd

 

bad ground? haha u have one of those and all sorts of freaky ill happen haha

unless it has something to do with voltage.... like ur voltage drops to low when your car is off

 

well it seems like there is a short somewhere because when driving to school the deck resets it self when using turn signal and when i put it in park when i got home it reset too, so im gonna have to just pull it and then re wire it to the gm harness that i got extra instead of using the garbage splices that future shop used.

 

well fixed the problem just re-wired it to the gm adapter and it works perfectly now
