I am installing a set of Nakamichi SP 652 components in a 1997 Cavalier.
I am starting to build a set of pods and am wondering if I should leave the back of the pod open (up against the carpet) or enclose it?
Will the carpet absorb the backwave of the midbass and give me less sound?
I have seen pods made both ways on several tutorials and wondered if anyone knows which way is best.

Thanks, I will try both ways and see which is best. Nothing wrong with a little sonic experimentation.
