ok im going to be installing a laptop in my show car. im looking for a harness extension for the screen. so i can have the key board/ main section slide out of the dash, and have the screen fiberglassed into the passenger section.

anyone have any ideas where to either get a extension for the ribbon cable ( 40 pin or how ever many it is.)

or should i look into just disconnecting the monitor it self and using a different screen with a diffrent out put from my laptop?

 

You might no be able to find one for a laptop. Just get a secondary lcd and use it as an external. You don't wanna be ****ing around wit a laptop and removing parts. Those things are very temperamental.
