LC2i Install

Mods.. Sorry, posted this to the wrong forum. Can we move this to the Install forum? Humble apologies.

Hey guys.. So, it is with my hat in my hand that I approach you all for suggestions. I've recently completed the work of removing my passive LOC, and replacing it with an AC LC2i. When I have the LC2i installed, my woofers oscillate in and out, very quickly, but producing no sound. My MTX Jackhammer amp does not light up. When I disconnect it, the problem stops, even when there is power to the amp. I have 14v to the cap, and 12.8v or so to the power leads on the amp. I'm delivering 12+v to the 12v on the LC2i. All grounds look good. I have continuity from the LC2i to chassis.

My amp supports an auto-sensing turn on, and as such, does not have a remote wire running to it. I've got a troubleshooting plan in mind, but I wanted to validate it with the pros first.

Oh, this is a 2010 Chrysler 300 with Boston Acoustics system. The LC2i is taking input from the rear deck.

1. Get out my good ol' fashioned headphone to RCA jack cable, plug it into my phone, with the volume low, and try seeing if I get bass output from my amp. If no, I've done something to my amp, and will need to troubleshoot this separately. If yes, I can assume that my problem lies with the LC2i.

2. Run a proper remote-on cable from an ignition wire (pink wire in my harness, or from the fusebox) to the LC2i remote in. If the LC2i comes on, I'll reconnect the RCAs to the sub and see if the same thing happens to the woofers.

3. Hook up the LC2i, and verify that both the amp and the LC2i have power. With the output volumes set to nothing, I'll begin working the volume up until I hear something from my subs.

4. If none of this works, I'll re-connect my passive LOC to determine whether or not I have a working system again. If so, I'll assume that the LC2i is bad.

Are there any troubleshooting steps I should take beyond what I've detailed above? Would you move any of these around? I was thinking maybe of re-connecting my passive LOC before doing any of this, because the system worked fine before I started mucking with it. Figure that's the only way to learn right?

Thanks in advance everyone.
