OK,
let's pretend that someone had the following: 2, 12'' dual voice coil subs (6 ohm) 2, 900W amps what is the best way to hook these up for max power? would i use 1 amp per sub with the coils in parallel or all the subs in parallel with 1 or two amps? also, can you hook up amps in series or parallel? please send me some tips or suggestions for this setup. thanks! |
You have to give some info on what type of amps: are they mono block, 2 channel...etc and what brand/model so we know what resistive loads they can handle. And those wouldn't happen to be W12GTi subs would they...

more info:
the subs are MA Audio dual voice coil "rated" 800W max. the amps are rockford mono d rated 900W max. but the specifics aren't really that important. i just want to know if i should hook up the amps in series or parallel and should i power the subs each with one amp or should i put them together? |
