The girlfriends dad had an LED factory, and this is one of his products, and I thought will work amazingly for the car audio industry.

What do you guys think?

That is pretty neat, where do you plan on using this application? And how long are the strips?

There's two models they're both 0.5m long, and they have 25 or 45 high power LED's. I'm going to use them in my new trunk setup, since the stuff that's available on the market is crappy neon, or spotlighty LED's but these ones are neither.

And depending on feedback I may be bringing them in for sale as well.

Are there lots to choose from? Color? Any variation on the size? How are the connections?

if your gonna use those for your trunk, make sure you run them through the proper ballast,if those see too much elements(weather) their done, so protect them with something. keeping in mind allanson just recalled their 9 volt ballasts, those come in the basic colours(red, white, green) I'm really liking the ROPE led that can be purchased at any length(up to 150') sort of looks like neon but rubber(not spotty)pretty bright(depending on what colour) and easy to cut and cap off, a bit expensive, but most new technology is.:smilie_da

Yup, so far they're in red, white, yellow, blue, and green. They're going to try and make purple as well

That's the coolest thing about this product it's plug and play to 12v, just wire it up and go. It also has an IP44 rating, so it is usable in marine applications if the connectors are siliconed and heat shrunk, you can also cut this product into two different lengths in designated areas and they're still usable (so you can cut at every 3 or 9 LED's (depending on the product). It also has 3M double sided tape backing, and its ridiculously sticky for easy mounting.

But the very very very best thing is, at 12V you can't even look at the strip because it's so bright (in white). The colours are not as bright, but a few strips can light up a room with no problem. I'll post some more pix tonight.

Well I will be purely distribution. So I am currently speaking to a few shops locally here in the lowermainland to sell my products, and I'm sure those people will have no problem setting something up with you guys. Give me a little time and I'll see if there's anything that can be done, as many people in the states are interested as well!

How much does that rope LED stuff go for? So I can see if we can match their pricing with a better product. thanks!

I would hope not, I was trying to post to get some feedback on the product to find out if it was good or not. I had no intention to sell it to individuals. But as you have seen I guess the people like it, and want it now?
