I have a mazda3, and I know there is a grommet that comes through the firewall behind the glovebox. Depending on what size wire you're running through, you should be able to squeeze it in.

 

That is exactly where I found to run my wire. I fit a 0 gauge through there no problem. It was a pain in the *** due to the heat shield in the speed3.

 

what are you installing for equipment?

 

So far, I've decided on whats in my signature. I've got my Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS 6 3/4" components sitting at home waiting to be installed.

I might be looking to trade in my Eclipse CD7100 for an Alpine IVA-W205 indash nav/dvd player. A double din would look sharp in this car.

I'm going to wire up my components actively off my Eclipse for now.

I might be down grading from my Digital Designs 9515 to a strong 12" just due to weight and box size. Also, it would be nice to be able to run a little less power as the electrical system is not very stong from factory.

As for an amp for my comps, I have a cheap Kenwood thats good for 100W RMS per channel. I might be buying some Alpine PDX amps.
