i have the dotech ovations and one tweeter wire is grey and the other is copper. and they are both only 4'' long with caps on the end of the wires. how the hell do i hook these up to my cross overs

 

Have u tried extending the wires?

 

Caps on the wires??? not sure what you mean by that.

with Morel I have always taken the silver wire as positive, hook it up one way and if you don't like the tweeter sound then switch it. your not going to hurt the tweeter by hooking it up out of phase. Extend your wires and ahoy it up to the crossover.

 

i always thought you cant mix wires. if one wire is grey i can just twist the copper wire to that grey wire? its safe????

 

Wire is wire, some may be better quality then others but it wont blow up in your face that forsure.

 

alrighty. dontknow why theeres metal caps at the end but if wires wire then ill just rip off the caps and twist the wires on. thanks!

 

are you talking about the spade or bullet connectors? Maybe you better take a photo and post it before you f*** something up.

i googled bullet connectors and thats what they are. look just like this but there on the ends of the tweeters.

Thats a bullet connector( thats what I call it anyway) the kit either comes with a lead of wire that attaches to it to add some length or just cut it off. I always do a straight copper to copper connection well twisted and covered.
