My buddy said they had some issues when they first came out but that they corrected them. What issues or which amps? Not sure but maybe thats what he was talking about. Any chance your friend had it setup wrong causing it to overheat?

He purchase it awhile ago when best buy first showed them in their catolog. it was on sale and he picked it up. so i'm guessing that the issues been resolved. as far as being installed wrong i did the install, and it was nothing outta the ordinary. amp mounted to rear seat with 4AWG going to the amp and a super secure ground... i'm guessing it was what you buddy said.

Probably. I was initially going to go with the new infinity amps but could not pass these up at the price I paid so.... I guess I will see come spring time.

Nice install and you still have some room left in the trunk for usibility, always a good thing. Although you might have to come up with a way to cover those amps.
Those exiles are fine amps.

Is it one amp per sub or is one powering the front end?

S1000.1 for the subs and S400.4 for the fronts.

I don't have anything yet. I sold my deck to upgrade to a DVD/Media Deck. I am going to have 6.5" components up front and 6.5 in the rear doors. Just not sure what yet.
