Need help perfecting my install {possible 56K warning}
Hello guys. this is my first install, and my first car.
My dads buddy installed the deck, but didn't have time to finish the rest so me and a buddy from where I worked over the summer just ran the wires and got it working.
I'm not sure the subs model numbers, I'd take one out but its kinda cold out and the car is outside tonight.
(2) Pioneer 12" subs. I got them and the box for free. Wired in parallel
Kenwood 8103D mono amp. 300Wrms @ 4ohms 500Wrms @ 2ohms 1000W max.
Kenwood KDC 205 cd deck. Also free.
It also has this chime module.
I bought a Scoshe wiring kit good for 1200-1600W max 1100rms at walmart, came with a cap.
Heres some pictures of the install.

this pic you can see the Dual brand 6x9's I bought at walmart, I dont like shopping there but they seem to be better than the stock ones, that the deck fried.
and some youtube videos

this video I had the bass turned to -8, which is all the way down. Its at 0 now and I find it distorts at full volume. Theres a Infrasonic Filter on my amp but I think its turned off. I don't know how to adjust the amp either so I was looking for help with that. Would it be better to connect each sub to the amp instead of having them wired together? Also would it be better if I bought/build a ported or bandpass box? There in a sealed box now. Also can anybody tell me what model these are? There 4ohm single voice coil if I remeber correctly. Any way to run them as 2ohm?
Thanks for viewing.

turn your gain down will get rid of distortion if you are running them in parrallel then you are at 2 ohm nowcant tell what they are until you remove them then we can tell ya more
you can try running them seperatly and find out the model # then you can get the box xpecs for ported and even sealed as they may even be in the wrong box now who knows but man for free ya cant complain

Pioneer did a good job in making those subs. Good SQ and quite good output ability. An above average sub IMO. They didn't need a ton of power to work well and they could take a lot of abuse.
Anyways, they are from Pioneer's "Nickel" series and they are indeed single 4ohm drivers.
The model number for the 12" is TS-W1200C and each driver has a 200rms power rating. I've installed more than a handleful of these and 500rms on a pair in your Sunfire should get plenty loud.
They work best in a ported enclosure.

I was thinking of building a bandpass/ported box. Not sure how to go about it yet. I like the vibrations of the subs and also the sound of them.. I've never built a box.. I'd rather make one than buy one as they seem to be expensive.
Thanks for the model info. I knew it was a T-something but it was a while ago I took one out. Would it be better if they were hooked to the amp or is it fine having it go from amp>sub1>sub2?
I wish I could figure out how to tune this ampp.. I need a better deck aswell...
EDIT:
2 Pioneer 12's making my car rattle
12" Pioneer subs in Sunfire
Try that.
Also my amp doesn't have gain.. well it doesn't directly say it.
High res pic of amp, you can see adjustments, except for the IF filter which is off-15hz-25hz.
