New head unit not storing settings
New head unit not storing settings
Hi all,
No doubt this is some simple thing... hoping you can help.
I recently bought a super cheap new head unit in order to have bluetooth in the car.
I removed the factory radio, the new unit plugged directly into the existing loom. I turned it on, set it up, connected the bluetooth to my tablet...
Music comes out the speakers etc. I adjust eq.
I turn off the car and next time I go back, it's as if I'm setting up the unit from new i.e. nothing has been stored. I note that if I turn off the ignition, the unit stays active for a while.
Do I have an earth problem?? I'm assuming I don't need a specific live feed, as clearly the unit has power and works. I note that the radio I removed had copper cladding on the sides where it clipped in. This unit sort of flaps about slightly in those cheap anodised cages. Do I simply need to remake a contact somewhere?
All help gratefully received
