First thing, you will need an amp for your sub. The "has front/rear and sub preamp outs" means it has signal output for all three seperate channels. One set of outputs for the front, one for the rear and one for the sub.
Here is a quick step by step guide to set it up. I reccomend if its your first time, buy a "amplifier instalation kit". It will give you all the wire, connectors, cables etc. That way you are certain you have everything.
Run a power wire from your battery to the trunk. The size or guage of the wire will depend on how much power the amp puts out. I think 4 guage is pretty much the norm nowadays and keeps your options open for the future if/when you add more amps. You want to make sure this wire is fused within a foot or so of the battery with the appropriate amperage fuse. If you bought a kit, there will be a fuse holder included. Some you have to mount and some are just inline with the wire. You will need to find or drill a hole in the firewall to feed the wire through. Once you have it through the firewall, most people run it down the side of the car and into the trunk.
You will need to run a pair of signal cables (rca's) for your amp. If you have multiple amps, you will need multiple cables. You want to run these from your deck to the trunk. To be on the safe side, run them as far away from your power wire as possible.
You will also want to run a remote wire from your deck to the trunk. Its normally the blue wire from your deck.
Now comes the part of mounting the amp and the sub. You can pretty much use your imagination when it comes to mounting the amp and sub box. If you want to stay pretty easy, you can do what alot do and just slap the amp on top or on the side of the sub box.
Wiring up the amp. You are going to need to find a nice ground for the amp. Search around in the trunk for a nice peice fo metal and sand it so there is no paint/rust etc. Make sure the bare metal is showing. Then drill yourself a hole right in the spot you just sanded. Using a ring terminal, either screw or bolt it to the metal. Make sure its nice and tight.
Now hook up the power, ground and speaker wires to the amp. Make sure if the amp you using is bridgable, you use the right connections. The instruction manual will tell you that. Once you have all the wire connections hooked up, you can put the fuse back in by the battery and test to see if it works. Once on you can set your gains/crossover etc. Enjoy.

A 2 ch will work for the sub. If you are looking on running other speakers as well, you have a couple choices.1) Run the speakers off the deck. Depending on the deck and its power, it might sound ok. 2) Get another amp for your speakers. This is what I would reccomend as most decks won't keep up with an amplified sub.
well.. i can tri-way them without problem rite?~
another question~
what size of the amp's power is needed to run a
250W(RMS) 1000W(MAX) sub?
or 160W(RMS) 500W(MAX) sub?
is the higher the W the better the sub is?

Its not nessicarily the higher wattage the better the sub, but generally you will want a good sub that can handle some power. You want to match the power of the amp to the power of the sub pretty close, but its not a big deal to have a little more power than the subs rated as long as you adjust your gains right. But on order to run an amp tri-mode, the amp has to be able to run like that. Not all are able.
