hey ppl, i was driving to work the other day listenin to a cd when all of a sudden my sound went dead! the deck turns on and shows that a disc is playing but there is no sound coming out.
i dont have any amps so its not that, has anyone else had this problem? any ideas?
its a pioneer deck, older model

I would say that one or more of your speaker leads is shorting out. Deck will still play but no sound output.

 

^^^^^ or maybe your factor amp got turned of by the removal of the remote wire so check that out as well

 

could be the outputs, do you have preouts try hooking an amp up to get some sound out of it, failing that could be time for a new head unit.

 

Side-note:

Merlin, are you concerned about that growth on the top of your head that looks like a guys face from the nose up? You're obviously aware of it because you've put a hat on it.
