K i got a reall newbie question for you guys, hope it comes out clear. say you have a deck that puts out 50x4, and you are only runnin 2 150 watt speakers, could you bridge the front speaker wires on the deck and the rear speaker wires on the deck together and run it to the 2 speakers giving you 100 watts?

No...do not do it!!!
Head Unit internal amplifiers are not designed to be bridged...You WILL damage your head unit...

 

He said deck and no you cannot bridge the deck speaker outs.

I know some decks you can...Mine for instance..(planet audio) it specifies right on the deck itself, for 2 speaker mode, shows how to bridge :d, But yes I agree, 90% of decks cannot do it

 

even if you were able to bridge the channels in your deck it wouldnt do that much more good....most head units struggle to provide a good 10 - 15 watts rms per channel

 

on some older pioneers you could bridge the rear channels to make a sub channel , you could also switch the rear to output sub bass and use the internal sub xover . it was in the manual .
