Please help...This is killing me!
Okay guys, I'll give you the long story so you have the facts.
Im putting an aftermarket amp and subs into my 2010 Ram 2500 with the stock 10 speaker Alpine stereo.
At first I wired the line converter into the factory subwoofer wires, then RCAs to my amp. The subs worked but would barely make any bass even with my gain and level turned up. Just a side note I'm running a Hifonics Brutus Bxi2006D to 12" Kicker CVR's at 1 ohm. So the amp should have been pushing these subs HARD at this point. But even with everything turned up it's not even barely pushing.
So I thought maybe because the factory subwoofer was probably already crossed over at the factory amplifier that I wouldnt have a full range signal to my line converter and hence low bass output.
So today I wired the line converter to my rear speakers in the doors. And I'm still getting barely any bass out of my subs!
I have hooked up an IPod with RCA converter to my amp to test the amp/subs and they pounded really hard so the problem is not there.
What the hell am I missing here??? Could the factory rear speakers be crossed over already before the actual speaker? Does it even matter?
Thanks...

I've got the STINGER SGN13. It does have adjustable gain output. The weird thing is when you turn the gains counter clockwise the bass output increases. But I'm still not getting much bass at all.
Ooooo, good thought... OP, realistically it shouldn't need the gain control, and one without would be best, but in this case you just need to make sure the gain is set properly. Dukk has a point here, you may have some phase cancellation going on here
OK thanks guys. I forgot to mention it seems the factory subwoofer was a dual voice coil. So I had run all 4 wires to the LOC the first time. I will try switching a few wires to see if maybe I do have some cancellation there. Thanks.
I tried switching a pos/neg on one side of the LOC but to no avail. Still just very low sub output. But something strange is going on here: I have seperate gain controls(left/right) on my LOC output. Now if I turn the left gain up the bass output increases but if I turn the right side up the bass decreases. Its almost like the gains are fighting each other. Like I said I did switch a pos/neg on one side to see what happens but the gains are still working opposite. I've also tried running a household boombox to the LOC to the amp and it was quite a bit louder but nowhere near what it should be for the gain/boost settings. Im thinking the LOC is NFG! Ill try a new one tomorrow.
