Power antenna issue...
So I recently purchased a new universal power antenna for my 93 Honda Accord LX. Anyway, I hooked everything up and, nothing. I tried hooking up the old (OEM) power antenna and when I connect the ground and power wires I can hear one click, but with the new universal antenna hooked up it doesn't seem to show any sign of life. I have a Pioneer P3300BT and I'm wondering if the radio/ant on wire (not the constant) doesn't have any power? Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have a test light or a multi meter? Make sure you have both powers (1 constant, and one that turns off with the radio) and a good ground. Scrape the paint off the car crimp a ring terminal on the ground and screw or bolt it to bare metal then paint over it so it won't rust.

The universal antenna hooks right up to the factory plug. So I shouldn't need to run a separate ground, right?

Is the new antenna bolted to the car. That is the ground. If you have it laying on the carpet or holding it to test it, it probably won't do anything.

Didn't even think about that. The universal antenna has three wires (black, red, and green) so I assumed the black wire was the ground wire? Thus not having to rely on the vehicle chassis as a ground?
