Is it a good idea to run a power cap to both my sub amp and my front stage amp? Im going to be using a Kicker 400.1 for my sub and I also have a 600.4 for my fronts. (I do have a 1 farad cap for the 400.1) this will be installed in a Ford supercab F150 with a factory 120amp altenator and a 650cca battery I dont know if thats nessary info but meh the 400.1 will be powering a Kicker 12L7 and the 600.4 will power MBQuart RWE160 and AVI LX160. I want clean sound not nessarly the most spl. thanks

don't waste your money, the capacitance you have built in to the amp is more than sufficient for your fronts.

Capacitors have some value but not much. In theory that is a good idea (better for SQ than SPL) but unless it is to impress the neighbors I would pass on the cap.

Thanks for the replys guys! I have the option of getting another matching cap so Im going for it. It may be overkill but at least I can say I tried.

The smarter money would have been to upgrade the battery

I do plan on doing that Battery upgrade too but I couldnt pass up a monster cable 1 farad digital readout cap for 50$! would you? I love pawn shops!!! :D
