Power connected, nothing going to speakers... HELP PLEASSEE

So I started off my system with a single 12" inch subwoofer in the trunk with an alpine monoblock amp, but it takes up way too much space, so i decided to make custom boxes that fit neatly on each side. now that i have all the wires and another amp (rockford fosgate punch 300-1) which i got since the price was right, and it has RCA outputs... so i can run my original sub at the same time.

SO HERE'S MY PROBLEM

i wired everything up, distributed the power, followed all the instructions perfectly. the amp is clearly powered, all of the lights come on, but no signal goes to the speakers. I feel like i've tried everything, i'm almost positive i did nothing wrong and am getting extremely frustrated.

any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.

pics to follow.

the 3 most likely culprits are a bad ground. and internal problem with the amplifier. Or you aired your subs up to the wrong impedance.

What type of a car is it in?
Is it a factory radio, or an aftermarket one. If aftermarket, which one?
Like stated above, check your ground on the amp, and make sure you are getting a full 12v at the amp.

Break it down into parts and try each out one at a time to discount what is working and what isn't.

Try running the Alpine on it's own and ensure it's still working to power the sub like in your original system. If so, then it's not those parts.

Then trying running the Rockford on it's own with the sub and see if it's working.

IF it is, then check the RCA through on the Rockford to ensure you don't have to flip a switch or something.

Check your RCA's to make sure they are still good.......... and functioning

One last thing, are you sure you didn't go into the Rockford RCA outputs from the source and then from the Rockford inputs to the Alpine ?!?!?

If it's still not going, post back here............

it's a 99 civic hatchback with an aftermarket JVC deck

I've tried interchanging everything to make sure it wasn't the subwoofers or anything else. i've hooked up the speakers to my alpine amp and they both work fine. The RCA cable's input is going directly into rockford and being passed through to the alpine... when it's all hooked up the alpine still works and powers my 12.

i got the amp from my brother who sold off most of his car audio supplies, and it was all working fine when i recieved it.

Also i have tested everything with a voltmeter to make sure the power was being properly distributed.

this is the amp i'm trying to use

and these are the 2 subwoofers i'm trying to run

-the X-Thunder 10" ones

............. soooo, everything works on the Alpine. Signal flows through the Rockford to the Alpine and the sub plays but no sound fom the sub hooked to the Rockford. Hmmmmmmm. does the Rockford make the sub go when the pass through to the Alpine is disconnected ?

If still no......... then the Rockford sounds like it's pouched and needs a service call
