For sure in your car I would keep the factory deck. I would also for sure use a balanced input LOC like the Re-Q.

ya know, if that re-q website would pause on the description paragraph on their home page long enough to read more than 1-2 sentences I might get an idea of what the damn thing does. Stupid website designers.

click on the product and you get a static page, but i agree - I hate it when sites do that. At least pause if I mouse over that part of the page..

Sorry Dukk, but this still looks like a plain old LOC with an added bass restoration function. I looked over the install manual and there is nothing mentioned about low level input options, just the high level speaker lead inputs. I don't want to use the Bose amp at all, just the 2V pre-amp signal derived from the HU. I finally got confirmation from someone on the mazda6club forum that they literally connected the +/- leads of all 4 channels (8wires) coming from the HU to 4 RCA jacks and ran them straight to his RF amp for his system and later added a RF360 for tuning purposes. I have all the gear to do this so I'll give it a try first then look into your solution. Should have an update in a month or so. (Still working on component and bi-amping options.)

Thank-you for your advice. I do take it seriously, but I have done a lot of extra reading and research to get where I'm at with planning this project. Also, I should reiterate that I currently have an aftermarket amp running my aftermarket sub from the same method. The sub signal doesn't actually pass through the 4 channel Bose amp- only the remote turn on does. The sub signal is actually routed straight back from the HU to the rear deck and plugged into the Bose powered sub. I spliced those signals into an RCA plug and it runs great.

i have read tons of info on this since my truck had a blows system in it..
there is a way to bypass the factory amp but only if u were keeping the factory units.

Low level signal goes into powered Bose sub... Pull out powered Bose sub and you're left with a low level signal and I have had a working aftermarket amp and sub hooked up for months. Can someone just delete this thread?

Nope. Let us know how this works out when your amp gets back. It's a good reference.

Look what I found on google!

FYI I have no updates on my install yet since the repair shop still has my amp... Apparently Zapco's accept balanced differential signals too, so again I shouldn't need this sort of product.

They've had it a long time. I was waiting to hear if it gets blown up again or not.
