Yes you can use a little piece of wire to jump from the power terminal on the amp to the remote. However it will drain your battery if you forget to remove it. (This is not recommended)

Thats funny, cuz I was ganna ask steve that question today, But I read online that the remote connection is 12v,like smartass said, and all you need to do is run a seperate 12v line (18 gauge should be fine ) from the battery, to a 2 pole switch , back to your amps remote connection.

How do installers do it when they put subs and an amp into a car with stock deck ?..

I can't imagine to many people running subs of a stock deck. Although possible to hook up without them, stock decks don't have rca to run to the amplifier.

Still then you can grab the switched positive off the head unit, and if not that a car has a lot of things that have a switched positive also.

You could always switch it through the ignition wire!

Believe it or not I have even seen someone run a wire off the rear running lights to the amp. (Once again not recommended)

Are you using the factory HU? If so some LOC's have a remote that is signal sensing. So you dont need a remote lead to the HU. Or you can tap into the switched accessory wire.
