Problem Installing XM (pioneer 5900IB)
Hi all! first time poster here.
I have done a quick search and didn't really find my situation. I have a pioneer DEH 5900IB (sat. ready). I just purchased a direct XM tuner with the pioneer adapter. I hooked up the IP/bus cable (I think that is what it is called) to the head unit and spliced in the orange 12v wire to the main 12v supply to the head unit, and put the antenna outside. I start the car, push the source button but nothing seems to be registered on the head unit? Only the regular radio tuner option shows up as usual.
One little side note, I purchased the head unit from the states, could there be some kind of conflict? Or perhaps I did not wire it properly?

. I was reading you had to wait a few minutes on initial setup, and I did yesterday just not long enough I guess. Sorry folks lol
