ok i have a pioneer hd-p7300 i picked up for 50 bucks. teh faceplate screen is solid blue cause the guy punched it. not my question is can any face plate form another 7300 replace this one ? or is the only way to fix to send it back to pioneer. they want 175 to fix the screen. caus eim sure i could jsut pick up a face plate for much cheaper. any sugestions?

 

Depending on how much that deck is to buy brand new it may be worth it. Altho I thought there was like some kind of security code or thing with the faceplates so that no one could rip off a deck without one and then just rip someonez faceplate off lol. I could be wrong thats just my input tho.

 

I have a Clarion deck and mine broke last year. So I bought another one. I tried using the old face plate on my new deck just for fun... and while it did work. It would not let me use all of the features for some reason. So I don't know how similar other decks are. But mine would not let me do everything when I swapped faces!

Well, I think pretty much your only chances of getting another face to work with a deck is if it is the exact same model/year ect... Although others may work I would think it needs to be the same deck. My Clarion was the exact same deck model/year and still all of the features did not work!

 

pioneer i think is pretty interchangable, as long as you get the same model, you can use it, i think

 

if the face plate is for the same model it will work 100%

ordering a new face would be around 165-170 for one of those.

I have the exact same Clarion model as the one I replaced and when I switch faces some features do not work. So I am not sure that all can be switched and work properly. Maybe most, but mine does not work 100% for some reason!

If the price is close or slightly more expensive, I would just get a new faceplate. IMO, when things like that get fixed, they are never the same anymore.
