Quick ground question
Quick ground question
I have a cobalt with the battery in the trunk. Question 1. since im only running about 3 feet of power wire, should I use a fuse?, and Question 2. Instead of grounding to a piece of the chasis can i just ground it to the negative on the battery?
Or will this work fine

Is that a red wire that you are using for ground? If so, change it like pronto. One little mistake and it's all over for something all over a couple of bucks for the proper color ground wire. Nothing wrong with where that ground is attached to by the looks of things.

So no power for ground wire? Care to explain in greater detail for me? I do have 8 guage brown wire which i believe is ground. Oh your saying that i may be stupid and hook the ground wire up to where the power wire is supposed to go? lol nah
No no I dont think he's saying your stupid. But when you get going and excited to hook it all up grabbing the wrong red by accident can be a tragic day. Maybe the worst case wrap some black tape around it to mark it.
