The Sony will work if you wire it up as we discussed earlier.

The Pyramid would be easier to use to run the fronts in 4ohm stereo and bridging the rear 2 channels to run the single 4ohm sub.

Better would be using the Pyramid to run fronts and rears and the Sony to run the sub....

Since I am a parent, here's what I would suggest....

First, don't sell your parents short.... they were listening to the early days of rock and roll long before you were born, so they may not be as dead-set against some decent tunes in the family wheels as you might think.

Second, if your parents have already OK'd you installing new toys in the car, talking to them about the options discussed here will not only reassure them that you're going to do a good job putting them in, but that their music will sound a lot better in their car as well....

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to sell them on the benefits to them of installing a system in their car. The fact that you will get to use it as well is just a side benefit for you...

cliford designs and clif designs = are they the same? i saw a cliford designs at princess auto and clif designs at xs cargo..

i think cliford is pretending to be clif. everything on the box looked the same but me= very observant noticed that the logo was a pit different so i didnt buy it. it was a 12'' like 600w rms sub.

if i was a parent and my kid asked me to put a system in my car id say yes...then id hear that it was sony amp and that he was trying to run subs/sub and speakers off the same sony amp...i would then proceed to ground him/her
