I'm not an expert but I'd say keep your power wire on the same side as your battery. Just so it rules out having more wire in your engine compartment. But I have my RCA's, remote, speakerwire (for 6x9s) and my 0 guage power wire on the same side of the car all running beside each other and I have no noticeable noise.
