I recently purchased a 99' Dodge Ram Pick up truck and it came with a remote starter/ keyless installed on it ( aftermarket ) the catterys were dead in the remote so there for the remote did not work... now i replace the batterys and need too reprogram the remote to the brain....

there is no Name plate on the remote or the brain..... so I dont know the brand

is there a General way fo doing this? is there somewhere I can take it? help please its goign to get cold SOON!!!!

hey that looks like the remote from that cheap unit you started buying after the tiger starts shaughn. the brain looks different tho.

 

looks like a ProStart 2501. Had something come through the shop like that a little while ago. Not sure though. I'll have Carter take a peek.

 

That looks like a cheap starter....I'd be worried about having a cheap (hazardous) install in there.

Take the truck to a pro shop, and let em have a look-see at the install, before you get it fired up.

Remote starter's can be deadly if they aren't installed properly.

 

is it even a remote start? Did it start the truck before? looks like an alarm or keyless entry to me. There is only 2 positions for heavy guage wire. looks like a old Marksman alarm.

Crap..... it isn't a remote starter... its only Keyless....... hmmmm any guess's ont he brand too get it redone?
