Question

Do you have to remove the entire dash just to get to it?

Does anyone here have any experience with Hyundai Accents?

Defro is right, climate controls have to disconnected, also you need to isomount the deck to make it look good.

And watch out for the paint on the bezels and doors, if you even look at it wrong, it will come off leaving the customer whining about it to you.

The best part bout the accent is gathering up the bezel clips that really love to fall into the split in the carpet when the bezel is removed

Yup, that worked. I had to disconnect 3 climate control cables and then remove 2 screws from the ashtray. I pulled out the plastic and all the metal clips fell off but at least I got to remove the stereo.

Luckily I found enough of the clips to put it back together again. They really should stop using clips and just stick with screws.

The climate controls for sure will need to be disconnected and the screws below the retrackable cup holder.

In the sense of iso-mounting, American International had a kit that gives you clips that help you with the mount. works really good and very clean. The part# is HYN-K1109

Give that a try!!
