tie your hood pin into your check engine light.....make sure you diode isolate,
light comes on, and bam! negative trigger shuts her down. And yes, this is a joke!

 

Basically the customer wants the car to start and stay running with a single press of his start button (not the remote, an engine start button on the dash) so he can drive around an look cool without keys... Press the button again and the car shuts off..

I don't think it's that great of an idea, but he's a very very good paying customer, so yah....

Anyways, I figgured it out using a pac TR7 module and about 10 relays....

You'd better be up to date with your liability insurance.
I won't even install any type of ignition cut relay for security, on the million to one chance that if it failed at the wrong time, it could kill someone.
10 relays, and an auto start (2% or worse failure rate), and the odds are not with you.
and what about the steering and shift lock....those are safety devices....bypassing them???.....could be criminal negligence if something went wrong.
Paying or not......don't do it.

race cars have push button starts.. so do transport rigs. I think you would want to modify the car rather than install a remote starter.

 

I remember that some of the Black Widow systems could be set for something like 4 hours if you used the computer interface but that seemed to be the longest I've seen.
