some ideas on install

Hey guys I am intalling a little system in my car and wondering how I should set it up.

Deck - Alpine 9855
Amp- Audison srx3
Front- Dls UR6
Sub- JL 10w3v2
Cap- Monster .5farad

Now my ? is
-if I run that amp @ 4ohm's is 75w a side enough power for the Dls or should I run the fronts in a 2ohm load to get 110w and the sub @ 4 ohm
-what gauge wire should I use?
-Also where is the best place to mount those tweets without butchering my door panels?
-should I run an rca from my sub out on my deck to my Amp?

Thanks in advance

1.) Run @ 2ohms
2.) You will be safe with 8ga, but i would recommend using 4ga
3.) Pillers near the front windsheild, can use double sided 3m tape, or screw it into place.
4.) YES! this you NEED to do, otherwise you will have no output from the sub. You MUST run a pair of RCA's as well as a REMOTE LINE to the sub amp from your deck.

first off, your front speakers are probably 4 ohm, so you can't just run your amp at what you want, it's load is determined by the speaker's impedance.

You have a 540 watt rms (potential, all channels @ 2ohms) amp, so i would run a 4awg wire to be safe, 8 awg would be fine if the amp is very efficient, but since your running wire...think ahead to future upgrades or options (like adding rear speakers and loading the amp to 2ohms or changing to a two ohm sub etc...)

A-pillars, sail panel(inside panel on side mirrors), possibly dash, or you could go with kick pods( I don't like them myself, but you might).

yes, run all rca's back to the rear, again think ahead to future upgrades, you're only going to use the front and sub pre-outs, but that deck offers a lot of control to your system through those pre-outs.

Good luck, sounds like it should be a nice system!

Only way you can run the fron't at two ohm is if you had two sets unfortianlly.

75W RMS is enoght power for those speakers, what Voltage is those cpecs based one though?

what gauge of speaker wire?

14awg is more than o.k.

I looked up specs on amp and speakers. Since the speakers are 4 ohm, the only way to run them at 2 ohm would be in paralell, mono 110/2=55w each. So stick with 4 ohm stereo.
You'll need a pair of RCA's for the front and a pair of RCA's for the rear.
You can surface mount the tweeters, but flush mount is much nicer.
That woofer comes in dual 4 or dual 6 ohm, so run both coils in paralell for 2 or 3 ohm load.

You'll probably find out 75 w isn't enough. I have a 9855 as well and you can run it in 3 way mode. Another stereo amp for the mid-bass is what you really need, about 125 wrms.
