speaker mounting impotance!
hi all,
was wondering how important it is to have the space between the speaker and the door opening be sealed?
hmm does that make sence?
my problem is how i have to mount my new 6.5mids to the door or rather the door panel. there will be a space between the door and the back of the speaker. will this effect how the speaker will sound?
mounting to the door is more diffecult because of the angle of the door panel. so having the speaker mounted to the panel simplifies the install. also the speaker is flushed to a mounting panel i made to fit inside the door panel. the space will be close to 1/8" - 1/4" deep.
the door is deadened inside and outside panels.
i will try to get a pic up of the mounting panel i am talking about. just need to remember my photobucket account.
