speaker problems
hi, i have recently installed new subs in my car myself, after having my stereo and speakers professionally installed.
they worked fine for a couple of weeks, but every now and then something really wierd will happen.
sometimes when i'm driving along, the speakers will shut off, and only the subb will work, so all i get is bass from the sub. i have no idea what the problem is, and i've pulled eveything out from the deck to see if there are any loose connections anywhere, but i can't find anything wrong.
when i installed the subs, i didn't touch any of the wires from the deck, except the remote turn on, so i don't know what could have happened.
please help me figure this out, so i don't end up paying some shop way too much to do something i could have fixed myself.
thanks, josh

dude I have the exact opposite happenin lol. Sub dont work and I installed it, but the speakers work and they were professionally installed. My 2 cents would be to unhook the sun see if u get sound just outta the speakers (I could be wrong bout this) but also have u got the speakers wired with the amp??
Josh, sounds like to me its the deck.
The output IC on the deck is shutting down
The rca,s are independent of the output amplifier chip of the deck.
I would check the the speakers/connections for shorts/condition.
