speaker wire size ?????

After looking into strapping my amps to run only 2 conductors, I noticed the speaker out size on the amps are only 8 awg.
If I strap my amps, I'll have roughly 1600 true rms going through the one positive speaker wire.
I'm wondering , if I'm running 2 DVC's in series, will that 8 awg give me all the the juice?

The closest I can get the amps to the first coil would be at least 18" - 24" .
The charts say 4 gauge for 1400w at 4 feet. It'll take 4-6 feet to get to the last voicecoil. I do use Stinger HPM wire with a high thread count but....
Seems like 8awg isnt enough, but my math skill suck, and I don't understand the rest well enough to be sure

Assuming 8awg isn't enough, what the heck can I do? Get someone to mod it?

8ga will be fine for your sub wire. People use A LOT more power than 2K on 8ga.

Cool. Thanks bro. Those charts I look at never seem to make any "real" sense. They must be into overkill
Guess that probably means the Stinger 10awg twister speaker wire the box is currently wired with, should manage the power too.

I don't think you would notice little to any difference even on a meter. A good rule is to use the largest gauge your amp will hold properly. If it's rated for 8ga, you should use 8ga.

I'm gonna guess the chart you were looking at was for recommended power sizes for powering an amp - which is a 12V DC - your output voltage is gonna be alot higher than that - so 8G is fine... Think of the size of wire running your 120v table saw - vs your car audio amp that is producing even 80v
