Stereo Cuts Out

I just bought a new vehicle with a stereo pre installed into it. It is not a factory stereo but it consists of a Koss deck, MTX amp, Rockford Fosgate 6x9's, and a Kicker Comp sub. Im not exactly sure the model numbers on any of these but I dont think it will matter for the question. Everytime I hit a bump the stereo seems to cut out. any idea why or suggestion to what i should do to fix this?

im guessing the head unit is running the highs while the sub is getting amp power.
If the whole system is shutting down, highs and sub i would put full blame on the head unit.
if it were power/ground at the amp youre highs would continue to play on,
since youre amp relies on the head unit(via remote + turn on)to turn amp on i would start there,if everything is shutting off at the same time its likely a bad ground/+lead/acc at the head unit.
check the radio fuse first, better yet just replace it sometimes they dont look bad but infact are.

check the wiring harness on the back of the deck. I had a big problem with my JVC doing that.

I went and talked to a local car audio technician and he says that the deck is probably broken. And the other day my deck was doing something funky where it ate my disk but wouldnt play anything and I couldnt eject. But today its working again. So im thinking something is wrong with the deck... does that make sense?

i had a koss cd player once (cause it was free and was in the car i baught) and aftr bout a month or 2 it stopped reading cds all together. Check all ure wiring to the deck , sounds like maybe somthing might be loose or touching ,hence the turn off wen hitting bumps..

check your fuseholder connection under the hood, and your ground/power connections

I just installed a new deck and the new deck works 100% so it must be the deck and not a fuse or ground right?

it was most likely a bad ground or power source to the Hu, either a bad connection, a loose wire in the wiring harness, if it continues bypass known problems, re-ground your HU check all ur connections etc..but if she works now then ur golden
