strange amp problem

So i moved my amp from my old car into my new one, and it isn't powering. The strange thing is, the 4 awg wire comes into the amp, and another wire from that goes to my crossover to feed that power...the strange thing is that the crossover has power..but that amp doesn't. Both are grounded properly, and there are no blown fuses. Any suggestions? I appreciate it.

Ahh, what AWG wire do you recommend? There is only a 18 right now...didn't think you needed a certain size. I'll check the power too

18 gauge is fine for the remote, does it have voltage when the key is on?

Just double check the fuses in the amp. I recently ran into a problem where my fuse looked fine, but yet it needed to be replaced.

If you are not getting enough voltage to your remote turn on on your amplifier, then you will get a no power up situation.

You may need to use a relay or run a separate remote wire.
