If you're setting this up for Street B like in your title, an alternator won't matter since you can't have your car running anyway during competition. Just get as big of a battery as you can fit under the hood of your car (under 800 cubic inches of course) and you'll be set. A 2400 or yellowtop would be perfect if you can fit them.

I wasn't really all that loud last year and nowhere near competitive in my class, but you've gotta start somewhere I guess. The yellowtop works fine with that pair; I never measured the current draw on the amps, but they drop into the 10V region and thereabouts on a burp.

The box is tuned to 47hz but that probably won't help you much. What vehicle are you planning to do this with? Honestly, the best thing you could do would be getting a hold of a meter.

Haha, I know I do - that goes without saying. I thought this thread was about YOU getting help though.. now you're giving me pointers? The kinetik will make a big difference.
