Alright, I've had a chance to test everything and here are my results:
2 Pioneer TS-W257D4 are in good working order
1 MTX TC 710 is in good working order
1 MTX TC 512 is in good working order (But I need to reinforce the speaker terminal)

2 Rockford Fosgate P210D4 in good working order, but will need to have the speaker terminals remounted on one, and tinsel leads reattached on the other one.

All other subs were blown.

Still a good deal.

Worth it?
I agree with SQ Monster. Even though that is the exact same seller that I bought from here is a key difference in the post.

In the lot you are looking at the description reads:
"these items have been found to have problems whether physical, technical or both"

In the lot that I purchased, they were untested:
- These subwoofers are either a store display, distressed packaging, over stock or customer returns
- some are physically damaged
- due to the volume of items we receive, we do dot have the time to assess each one individually.

I think I still got off lucky with 3 perfectly good subs, and 3 other subs that just need to have the speaker terminals remounted. The remaining 9 are trash. The only think that you could get lucky on with that lot you're looking is that the physically damaged ones are repairable. Other than that, the seller pretty much guaranteed that all of the subs have some kind of problem . . .

He's a good seller, and honest in his listings. The key is to be diligent enough to read every word of his listing.

Sold 2 subs one for $25, one for $40, so I've recouped my purchase price, and I've still got 3 subs that are great and the 2 rockfords that I should be able to get running.

I'm happy!
I was thinking about running the 2 pioneers, but I'm not sure if I want to lose that much trunk space . . . I also am really starting to like this MTX 710 . . . I'm in the process of building a properly spec'd ported box for it (1.4 cubes tuned to 36 hz) Pics should come soon.

No pictures right now but here's what I've done:
I sold the pair of Pioneers and with the money I got from that I purchased close to 12 sq feet (3 strips of 18" x 30" of Dynamat Extreme) from SQ Monster who hand delivered it to my house when he was in the area a month ago (Thanks again Keith ). I have not installed it yet as I've been crazy busy.

I built a box for the MTX TC710 - 1.45 cubes slot ported and tuned to 36hz.
I liked this sub so much that I decided not to sell it!
So from all of the subs that I bought, here's how it broke down:
I purchased the Lot of speakers for $60
Which let me sell my Clif Design sub for $25
I sold the MTX TC 512 for $40
and I sold the pari of Pioneers for $10 more than I paid for sound deadening (I'm not sure if Keith wants the price I paid for the sound deadening revealed)

So all of that basically puts me $15 ahead . . . which brings me to the next part of the saga.

When SQ Monster was down he came for a listen of everything and gave me a few pointers:
1. re-aiming the tweeters for an accurate sound stage.
2. Deaden the doors
3. Rebuild the rear-deck (too many rattles)
4. Ditch my license plate trim (too many rattles)
5. Spot treat areas of the trunk lid because of rattles
6. Round off the edges of my port

While we were playing with my stereo, we noticed that the left mid didn't seem to like bass tones - It was rattling in an ugly way. It was getting worse the more we played with it. The rattling only stopped when I cranked the X-over to 300hz. I wasn't happy with this new development. A few weeks ago, my left mid stopped working altogether.

I took it out to find that the tinsel lead detached from the voice-coil.
Today I went to my local shop (Base Electronics) and asked if they new of a place that could repair tinsel leads. The installer (Larry) could do it. When I asked him how much he looked around the shop where his friends were gathered counted 5 friends plus himself and said "6 ice coffees." So for $13 at the Timmy's drive-thru I got my mid repaired

I installed the mid an hour ago and that annoying rattling sound was gone. My guess is the rattling was from the lead coming loose and slapping against the back of the cone.

I hope to have some time next week when I can remove my door skins again and apply the deadening. I'll take some pictures of everything then.

Ryan

Was that the Dual JBL bandpass box that was described as "It sounds like its breathing"?

If it was, I was very tempted to pick that one up myself. My guess was the plexi-glass wasn't sealed causing the "breathing" sound they described.
