T3-1000D question

ive got one of these amps running 2 type r 12's right now @ 4ohm. the subs are dual 4's. i was told to use it bridged or else it would blow. the manual says i could run one of each channel.

my question is can i keep using the amp bridge for both subs @ 4ohm
or
can i run each sub off its own channel @ 2 ohm without blowing my amp.

oh and if your wondering i am running 0 guage wiring as per instructions from everyone.

No you can not. As its not really a 2 channel amp it just has two sets of terminals and they are bridged within the amp so if you put 2 ohm on each set the amp will see 1ohm mono and then it may fry.

if you want to run it at 2 ohms you could setup each sub in paralelle and then run hte two subs in series, this should equal 4 ohms, hten once you hook it up to the amp it will be 2 ohms.

smartass, i dont know if i agree with you, on the peice of paper they send in the box it says that if you put a 4 ohm load on the left and 4 ohm on the right it says the amp sees 4 ohms.

I don't think so man... connecting the subs to a mono amp like this at 4 ohms won't magically drop it to 2.

The only way you'll be able to run two dual 4's are at 1 ohm and 4 ohms....

Well agree or not I have sold about 30 of these amps and met with Ultimate in person and understand these amps inside and out. Both set of terminals are bridged inside and if you put 4 ohms on one and then 4 ohms on the other the amp see's 2ohms mono. And if that piece of paper says thats its a typo. Trust me man. )
