I prefer spray, but if contact cement is used correctly is works great, it stink takes three times as long, but also works.

I've used both, and prefer the contact cement.. you have to be careful when working with it, but the bond is alot better. I've had carpet that was applied to a PA cabinet with spreay adhesive start pealing after a little while.. and some cabinets I did before that with contact cement are still perfect.

Well I covered my sub box today using contact cement.I used Lepage pro quality green. It sucks.Terrible to work with, stinky,no bond.I let the parts sit for 45 min. like the can says,no bond.I could still peel it off.Needless to say I did 75% of my box before realizing this.So on the last parts I used 3M 77 Spray adhesive and it works great.I also used some of the 3M on top of some areas that had been covered with contact cement. There didn't seem to be any reaction of any kind and it's holding a lot better.3M all the way!!!

Why are you deadlining it ? why not use dakron (pillow stuffing)?
Consider the cost difference to the SQ difference.
Just wondering..
