Tweeters hissing
#1
I'm getting a feedback from my tweeters. A really high pitched kinda whine coming out of them and I don't know how to get rid of it. You can hear it when the sound is off or really low and it's hella annoying.
I am almost pretty sure it's caused from the grounding on my comp. amp. But I don't know how to fix it. It's driving me crazy, if someone knows how to fix it, gimme some advice, or better yet if you know how to do it, I wouldn't mind meeting up for a bit...it's really driving me crazy.

1.Make sure the main power wire is as far away from electronics under the hood as possible.
2.RCA is seperate from any power wires.
3.Use a common ground for all stereo electronics.
4.Double check that all connections are clean and that the ground is good.

Oh ya this is starting to really make me mad. Moved the component amp from under the passenger seat to the trunk, now all amps have same grounding point. Changed speakers wire, and tested 2 sets of rcas. No matter what I do the focking noise is still there!
It made me jsut wanna rip out all my **** and burn it.
I even tried all three of my amps on it. I'm stumped, and any advice anyone has given I've tried, nothing. Damn. I hate car audio.

Did you try moving the power wire under the hood? If it is close to anything ignition related it may be leaking in noise there.
If that doesn't help try an external rca from the HU to the trunk (ie. not hidden just run to the trunk) and try it on the amp to the tweeters.
Than you'll know if the noise is getting in the rca.

Assuming your in TO come see me, I'd like to take a look at it, if all else fails you can band-aid it with a noise supressor at either you hu or the amp, this will take away about 90% of the noise if you can't find the problem or just want to quite it down till you find the problem, there are like $20-$30 for a good one
