Two 12" subs don't even sound like one subwoofer WITH 600 WATT AMP

Hey guys, just did an install in my 02 Nissan Sentra SE-R (the one with the stock amp and subwoofer)

I hooked up a Sony ZR604 600 watt amp in the car with 1600 watt maximum - 5 gauge wires... Power supply on the battery is good, ground is ok, and the green power light comes on fine on the amp...

However, the two subs in the back do not even sound like one 12" should. I attached the rca cables to the back of the deck, and input the other end of the RCA's into the rear speaker inputs (attached subwoofer speaker wires on 'rears' of amp).
The remote wire for the amp is attached to the deck...HOWEVER, i attached it along with the original blue remote wire for the STOCK AMP in my car (this is necessary because when I was upgrading the deck, the speakers would not work unless the stock remote wire was tied together). So I have 2 blue remote amp wires attached to the harness coming from the car.

NOTE: I disconnected the harness plugging into the stock subwoofer so that it doesn't play.

Here's the funny thing: When I unplug the top white rca cable from the amp and leave the coloured one in, then the bass sounds much better even though only ONE SUBWOOFER is playing (it still does not bang as it should though), and it isn't the subs' fault, as my friend had them before me with only a 300 watt amp and they BANGED HARD.

Both RCA's plugged into the amp make both subs work, but they do not even sound like two 10's.

Do you think it has something to do with my setup? Or perhaps the fact that there is a stock amp involved in the circuitry? Maybe the wires are too thick and big (1600 watt) for a 600 watt amp?

Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

I take it there is an aftermarket headunit in the car?

Switch the RCA cables around, see if it makes the difference. It might be a polarity issue

Your amp is a 4channel right? This amp is only 60rms x4. If you have the rears hooked up in "stereo" then your subs are only getting 60 rms each at best. 130rms if you bridged the channels. They are likely canceling each other out too.

fix your sub wiring, one is out of phase for sure. make sure + to + and - to - on both subs.

theyre both hooked up properly in regards to positive and negative ...

still...im better off (yet still not good enough) with only the coloured rca cable plugged into the amp as the 1 hitting sounds better than both...and that alone still dont sound like it should...

maybe its the stock amps remote wire tied to the deck thats ****ing with it?

thanks guys...

Hmm, that's a real head scratcher - are you able to try another amp?

This man is right,

Max. channel configuration at 4 ohm (W)
4 x 60
Min. channel configuration at 4 ohm (W)
1 x 130
Max. channel configuration at 2 ohm (W)
4 x 65

If you only have the rear channels hooked up you only have 130 watts at most going to the 2 of your subs, 65 watts each!!!

... OK you need to swap the polarity not check polarity... it is possible you missed something or the manufacturer of the amp or RCA or woofer or even the HU made a boo boo and swapped a phase (usually it is the installer who goofs this). A rule of thumb is two woofers should always be louder than one unless something electrical is messed up.

remote wire... has nothing to do with volume of the drivers
