what prices for install?
i have 2 jbl 1201.1 and one jbl 75.4, i have everything to hook it all up besides wires and a few conectors. I have been Quoted @ 500 to get it all installed with 0 gauage and the big3. I would do it myself, but i just have no time. Do you think this is kinda high or just about right ?
i would say thats very high.
usually an amp install for subs is around 80 bucks at bestbuy.
a little more for the 4 channel cuz it is more intensive, so im guessing like 140-160... ive been quoted at 130 for a 4 chann here in alberta.
and the big 3 is even less work then an amp...
but what wires exactly are you missing. because 0 guage and the connectors for it are not cheap.

3 amp installs & deck re-install: $200 and up. Where are the 4ch outputs going? To each speaker? Add some time.
0ga & 4ga: $150
Big 3: $50 and up; A fusible link at the batteryand/or some engine parts removal on some cars; add some time.
Fuse & Holder $40
RCA Cables
Terminals $10 to 20
0ga dist block :$30
Distribution Install $50
Gm side post adaptors? $10
Loom, cable clamps, zip ties, and tape $5 to 20
Tack on some tax and maybe a nice amp board, add an hour of tweaking after it's done, and it could easily be over $600 for an install done with quality parts, thought, and care,.
I'd be lookin' for a good 6 hour plus install if I had that kind of power going in.
Of course you could spend time getting all those parts for a bit cheaper, but your installer has already done the research, and should warranty his parts.
or you could find someone to install it all in 3 hours, but is that what you want?
